The aim of the journal Literatura e Sociedade is to promote, host and publish essays, lectures, testimonies and reviews on fundamental issues of the literary phenomenon, such as genre theory, literature and society, comparative literature, history of literature, relationships with other arts and fields of knowledge, great authors and great works, methods and practices of literary criticism.
From 2014, Literatura e Sociedade will be published twice a year, online on the University Journal Portal and in print for libraries, authors and cultural institutions. The submission of essays is now a continuous flow, and the evaluation continues to follow the rigorous standards of blind peer review indicated by the Editorial Board.

Created in 1994 by students of the Department of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature of the College of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo, Magma aims to disseminate research, texts and creations in the field of literature, in order to promote theoretical and critical debate. The journal is open to the production of all literary research programs in Brazil and abroad, especially the works of its master's and doctoral students.
