Attention: The Program in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature holds an annual selection procedure in the second half of each year (applications scheduled for August) for admission in the following year.
DOCUMENTS: At the time of application, foreign candidates need to submit only the documents listed in the announcement - the announcement is published on the program's website, and the corresponding link is also published on the website of the FFLCH/USP Graduate Commission. Candidates applying to the Graduate Program in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature are advised to follow the publications on its website. For foreign candidates, the identity document required for registration in the selection procedure is the passport or the RNE - National Register of Foreigners. The RNE will only be requested definitively at the time of enrolment in the postgraduate course, if the candidate is admitted to the competition.

PROFICIENCY IN PORTUGUESE: Foreign candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Portuguese.
Foreign candidates who have been approved by CELPE-BRAS are exempt from the Portuguese proficiency test and must submit a certified copy of the certificate at the time of registration.
If you do not have the CELPE-BRAS certificate, you will have to take the Portuguese test offered by the FFLCH Language Center. The website of the Portuguese Language Center team is https://clinguas.fflch.usp.br/port
RECOGNITION OF DEGREES OBTAINED IN FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES:
The following candidates will not be able to participate in the selection procedure or subsequently enroll in the doctoral program
a) Candidates who have not submitted their request for degree equivalence or diploma recognition by the last day of registration for the competition.
b) Candidates whose request for USP degree equivalence or diploma recognition has not been received by the CPG, CTA or Curricular Chamber of the PRPG-USP by the last day of enrollment for incoming students.
